hello, new year.

wow, it's february already....

this year is already going by quite quickly. the year got off to a great start. i got to ring in the new year with my best friend kilee, her husband, as well as the guy that i was dating. that was fun! i have to say, the whole dating thing wasn't nearly as bad as i had expected it to be. the guy that i was spending time with unfortunately has a lot going on in his life right now, so that has kind of put a halt to the dates. he was incredibly fun to hang out with, so hopefully we'll have other chances. we'll see.

in the meantime, i have started another semester at school. so far so good ... nothing too exciting has happened yet, but a bulk of my assignments are due this month, so i will be quite busy. i can't wait to be done with school. i'm so close.

so, i'm super duper excited that baby #5 in the hurst household is finally here! i've been sick for a couple weeks, so i haven't gotten to see him yet, but i can't wait to finally see him and hold him. i'm also excited for jenna's baby to come. i can't believe how ROUND she's gotten!! it's so weird to see my sister with a globe in her belly... hahaha. i'm getting her babyshower all planned and although i'm anticipating being stressed out between school, work and that, i think it will work out and turn out pretty cute.

i have no clue if i will be posting anything else this month, so if not-

wow, i can't believe it's november already.... i don't even know where the past two years went. holy cow.

less than a month and i will be 24.... TWENTY FOUR!!! what theeeeeeee!?!?! i certainly don't feel like it.

and on that note: i am SOOOO excited for the new harry potter movie to get here! i am almost done reading the last book again, so i can remember what happened, and i can't wait to see it play out! WOO!

today i went to kohls with jenna and i randomly bought the twilight: eclipse movie board game. well, i will be taking that back tomorrow. it's lame, don't waste your money.

just a little somethin...

while i'm on here, i figured i should post something. that's three posts in one month! i'm on a roll this time. haha. :)

i have had this picture of kylie on my computer for some time now, and i just thought i would share it on here. now, as most of you know, i absolutely love kids... but there is just something about this little girl that makes me extra happy whenever i see her. she's like a little beam of sunshine all the time! i've plotted to steal her from you leila, but i won't. haha. just kidding about the plotting part. sorta.

anyway- it's funny, i'm in school for photography, yet i haven't had a 'photo session' since last semester's gigantic final project. i know it's mostly because i don't have access to the studio and lighting anymore, but i should still be out there taking pictures of something. sheesh. maybe once work and school calm down i can take some more pics.

assuming i probably won't post anything else until after halloween, i hope you all enjoy the holiday and i hope i get to see some costumes posted!

today was somewhat eventful.

so, i was walking around joann's today because i have a couple of coupons.... and i happened to stumble across a new section in the frames that i had never seen before. the rejected custom frames. unfortunately, they specified that coupons didn't apply to them, but i found a miracle. these frames were probably pretty pricey for a custom frame job, and they are heavy and sturdy, but since they were rejects, i got them for $20 each! i don't know what to do with them yet, but i had to have them. i'm quite satisfied.

after that little shopping trip i picked up my daddy and we went to arizona art supply so i could get some supplies for school tomorrow. we then ate some lunch/dinner together and had a mini grocery trip.

after i dropped him back off at his place, i went to show jenna my awesome frames and took a peek at her baby room. i am soooo excited for that baby to come! oh man oh man. i'm absolutely in love with it already. haha. the room isn't set up but she has some great furniture finds and a nice glider chair. SO exciting!

anywho- she came back to my house with me and took a nap on the floor while i made some delicious home-made fire roasted tomato soup.

it's quite yummy. i would post a picture of it, but it's just a bowl of red. 

use your imaginations, it'll probably be more appealling. ;)

... 2 years later.

so, take a wild guess who forgot they had a blog, again?? that's right, ME! haha. and this will probably be one of a few posts (if i even make it to a few) before i forget again.

anyway - since it is mainly a place for cousins, i just want to let you all know that i love and miss you and i hope you are enjoying life. and annie bo nannie, i am so happy you found keefe, he is an amazing fella and one snazzy dresser ;) i'm glad i was able to go to your wedding, and i am super glad i got to see you other folks there as well.

if i went into everything i would like to say to each of you, i would be up too long and i have to work in the morning (yuck) but maybe i will keep up with this a little bit better so we can all keep in touch.

most amazing rainbow EVER!

so, yesterday it was raining on and off. around 5:30pm-ish i went with jessica to pick up her kids from school/daycare and we saw the COOLEST rainbow EVER! it was actually a double rainbow. the colors were so vivid and the whole thing glowed like crazy! we even saw the end of the rainbow! no gold..... but the street was all different colors. it was so awesome! here's the picture i took with my cell phone. not the greatest quality and it definitely doesn't do the actual thing justice, but at least you can get an idea of how amazingly awesome it was.

i love flagstaff. there are actually seasons here! all the trees are turning orange and yellow and such. it's beautiful. and as i'm sitting in the office with the door open, there's a chilly breeze coming in!

i love it.

first i have to say THANK YOU to annie! i forgot i had this blog. haha. :)

things are going pretty well here. i work A LOT! and when i'm not working i'm at school. pretty busy little lady. i've become pretty good friends with my manager, jessica, and when i'm not at school or work i'm usually hanging out with her and her kiddos. :) jessica and i just took a little trip to las vegas to check out the sites and such. that was a well needed vacation!
